Leicester Riders Basketball Club
51Âþ» Leicester (51Âþ») is honoured to have a partnership with 6-time British Basketball League (BBL) champions, Leicester Riders. The university has been working with the club since the 16/17 season, with the partnership providing a whole host of opportunities for both 51Âþ» staff and students.
As part of the partnership, 51Âþ»'s Basketball Women receive fantastic coaching from the Leicester Riders. All of 51Âþ»â€™s basketball teams, both men’s and women’s, benefit from receiving player talks and discounted tickets from the Leicester Riders.
Thanks to this collaboration, 51Âþ» can run prize draws for Leicester Riders home game meaning that both 51Âþ» staff and students can win free tickets. 51Âþ» staff can also get discounted tickets to Leicester Rider home games by using the discount code 51Âþ»STAFF30.

Leicester Tigers Rugby Football Club
51Âþ» has a unique partnership with Leicester Tigers, a Premiership rugby club renowned around the world. 51Âþ» and Tigers are working together to benefit students and staff at the university, and the club in Britain and internationally.
51Âþ» reap several benefits from Tigers, including Tigers providing tickets to 51Âþ» students and staff on a regular basis. Providing 51Âþ» with regular involvement in events such as the Big Boot. They are also the hosts of the annual Men’s and Women’s Varsity games which see a showdown between student teams from 51Âþ» and the University of Leicester at Welford Road.

Leicester Hockey Club
51Âþ» and Leicester Hockey Club have been formally working together to develop the hockey offer both at the University and more widely in the city, since 2014, with the first sponsorship of the then Leicester Ladies Hockey Club team shirts.
As part of the partnership LHC provide both coaching infrastructure to 51Âþ»â€™s Men’s and Women’s Hockey teams as well as access to their rapidly developing facilities. LHC and 51Âþ» continue to work closely together to increase the capacity and playing opportunities in hockey for 51Âþ» students. This strong relationship offers a unique opportunity for 51Âþ» students to gain access and support to a top-quality hockey club.
