We’re upgrading the internet and Wi-Fi network in the Queen's Building, Art Factory, Bede Island and the Clephan Building on selected days during November.

This is part of our ongoing work to give you:

  • A faster, more reliable internet connection across campus
  • Enhanced cyber security
  • Better support for digital learning and collaboration at 51Âþ».

All computers and internet access in the affected buildings will be offline during the work, which is scheduled for these days and times:

Wednesday 6 to Friday 8 November From 6pm until late
(daytime hours not affected)
Queen’s Building
Saturday 9 to Sunday 10 November From 9am until late Queen’s Building
Wednesday 13 November From 6pm until late Art Factory
Thursday 14 November From 6pm until late Bede Island
Thursday 14 and Friday 15 November From 6pm until late
(daytime hours not affected)
Clephan Building

Need to use a computer or the internet during this time? Simply go to one of the in another building where there are computers and Wi-Fi available.

If you’re using 4G or 5G mobile internet on your devices, they won’t be affected by this work.

Services should be back to normal by the time each building reopens on the morning after the upgrade.
