Applications are now open for the 51Âþ» Music Scholarship programme 2020/21. The 51Âþ» programme provides a unique opportunity for talented 51Âþ» student musicians to develop their musical skills and general musicianship through coaching and social impact projects.
The 51Âþ» Music Scholarship includes:
- Six hours of tuition with a world class specialist
- Performance opportunity at the end of the academic year
- Creative ensemble project focussing on music leadership and social impact.
Entry to the 51Âþ» Music scholarships programme is via competitive process:

- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to audition
Due to the ongoing circumstances surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, auditions are by video recording this year.
Former 51Âþ» Music scholar, Molly Bennett said: “Having the opportunity to complete the music scholarship alongside my studies helped me to develop an array of transferable skills that I have been able to put into practice throughout my degree.
"It provided me with the opportunity to have training from an established industry professional, experience in a professional industry led audition and the opportunity to hold my own professional music recital.
"The entire experience was invaluable, and I am so very grateful for such a fantastic opportunity.”
