Now you have accepted your offer to study here at 51Âþ», it is time to register. Registration opens on a staggered basis from Thursday 22 August. You will receive more information about completing the online pre-registration which then allows us to prepare your timetable and send out your pre-induction which contains useful information for you to know before you arrive on campus.
If you will be living in accommodation provided by 51Âþ», please confirm your arrival date and time in advance with your booked hall of residence.Â
If you have booked private accommodation, you will need to check your contract start date and contact your provider directly for moving in arrangements.

Your student card will be produced after you have completed pre-registration online. If you are a UK fee paying student, or a 51Âþ»IC progressing student, your ID card will be issued around the first week of your studies. If you are an international fee-paying student, you will receive your ID card at your face-to-face registration appointment.
UK students before you arrive at 51Âþ» it’s important that you make sure all your information is correct and up to date with . You do not need to manually make any payments yourself. You can find out more in this .
International students, you will need to make arrangements to pay the rest of your tuition, you can find detailed information on paying your fees on our international pages.
The My 51Âþ» app is a personalised portal and mobile app designed to support you while you study. The portal gives you access to up-to-the minute university information and access to a range of key services including LearningZone, Library, and Timetable information. We recommend all students to download the My 51Âþ» app as soon as possible.
The Welcome Festival takes place from Saturday 21 to Sunday 6 October. Here, you can find out more about the activities to get involved in alongside your degree and much more.
Campus will come alive with a festival atmosphere, with staff from 51Âþ» and De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU) on-hand to answer your questions about starting your journey at university. You can find out about the support services available to you or discuss employability opportunities. You'll also get a chance to join in with vibrant street entertainers, circus workshops and demonstrations, and don’t forget to collect your 51Âþ» freebies!
It is important to register with a GP whilst you are at 51Âþ» and you can find a list of near your accommodation and De Montfort Surgery is located on the 51Âþ» campus on Mill Lane. Before you arrive check you're up to date with all your vaccinations such as ²¹²Ô»å  which is recommended for all new students under the age of 25.
After your registration is complete, we will be able to release your course timetable. This usually happens shortly before your first week of lectures. The timetable can be found on My 51Âþ» and you will receive an email with full details closer to the time.
