The Institute of History exists to support the work of 51Âþ» historians at all levels, in producing world-leading research outputs and tangible research impact, and to promote the dissemination of this research to a range of local, national and global communities.
Alongside an annual research seminar series, it supports a suite of MA programmes and an active community of PhD students.
The institute also organises international conferences and is committed to developing the historical archives in 51Âþ»’s Special Collections for the use of academics, researchers and postgraduate and undergraduate students.
