Students will be offered tailored advice through a professional mentor via monthly scheduled video and phone calls and frequent emails, with personal catch-ups planned for the near future.

It is intended that the scheme will offer students at 51Âþ» a guaranteed number of spaces every year, helping to increase diversity and inclusion in the legal industry.

Brett Koenig, senior lecturer in law at 51Âþ», said the partnership offered students opportunities to get their first break in the profession.

He said: “The work GROW has done to support students by breaking down barriers when entering the legal profession is admirable. This initiative is a fantastic opportunity to allow our diverse, talented students to receive tailored advice from world-class professionals.

The key to this partnership is encouraging social mobility, diversity and inclusivity in the legal profession. I am very excited to see how our students progress with their careers and look forward to working together with GROW.”

Justin Farrance, founder of GROW mentoring, said: “I’m extremely happy to partner with 51Âþ» and support their diverse students hoping to enter the legal profession.

Our collaboration aims to reduce some of the barriers students face and I look forward to seeing our relationship develop over time. I look forward to planning future opportunities with the students”
