Insiders: Students Hannah Durling and Jessie Drabble outside the headquarters in New YorkFor Jessie Drabble, it was the chance to learn more about trend forecasting, the area of fashion in which she wants to work.
She said: “It was an amazing experience. We had a whole presentation from the different teams who talked about how they do their research, how they look at trends and get their inspiration which is the part I would like to work in. We have a trend forecasting system we use when we are designing our collections.
“It is fascinating to see how they decide what the Victoria’s Secret girl will wear in 2018. They had such a focus on the Victoria’s Secret girl – what she would be doing, what music she likes, what films she watches. To be able to learn so much and see how they work was amazing, we were just in awe.”
The students were able to watch presentations from the different teams and ask questions of them.
