Ruth’s PhD is a historical analysis of the media representations of terrorism and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the British press.  She is also carrying out research on historical memory in Spain and the indignados movement, paying attention to the use of social media in social movements.  Other research interests include conflict reporting, otherness and research methods. Ruth lectures in various fields, including Media Discourse and Journalism.
