In my spare time I love to bake, and like to test out new recipes on friends and family.

I am a point of contact for information on research funding opportunities, including expert assistance on using Research Professional.

I support researchers in drafting high quality grant applications to the UK research councils and UK charities, including assistance through the university's internal quality assurance process.

-I also support the co-ordination of large, complex bids across multiple faculties or institutions.

Areas of Expertise

- UK Research Councils and UK Charities, European Funding including Horizon 2020

- PRINCE2 Project Management Practitioner

Experience and Accomplishments

I completed my PhD in Chemistry in 2014 at the University of Birmingham. Following this I worked at Diamond Light Source, the UK’s national synchrotron science facility, on the high resolution powder diffraction beamline, for three years as a postdoctoral researcher.

Prior to my role at 51Âþ», I worked at Birmingham City University, where I supported engineering, computing and business academics in all aspects of the research project life-cycle including bid development and pre-awards, in-life research performance monitoring, post project impact tracking and publications.
