Personal profile

Penny has worked at 51Âþ»­ since 1999. Penny trained as a Registered General Nurse 1986 - 1989 . Previously she worked as a Ward Sister and a Lecturer - Practitioner at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust.  She is currently co-ordinating the induction of new academic staff into the school alongside being a Practice Education Lecturer. Penny is a module leader for a level 4 undergraduate module which focuses on wellbeing. Penny teaches throughout the three year undergraduate BSc ( Hons ) programme. 

Penny returned to clinical practice responding to the needs for vaccinators in the Covid-19 pandemic. She leads a support group for people affected by pulmonary fibrosis and is a befriender for Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
