TEACHING, LEARNING AND SCHOLARSHIP: SUMMARY 

Extensive experience of programme management e.g., Programme Leader for a suite of Foundation Degree, Top-up and BA Undergraduate Criminology and Criminal Justice and programmes, including those professionally/practice related e.g., both a Top up Criminology  Working with Offenders and a Top pp Policing Practice programme. Prior to this I was the Programme Leader for the Probation Qualifying Framework. Prior to that I lead the University through a successful validation for the roll out of the BA (Single Honours) Sociology programme at 51Âþ»­.  

Extensive experience of curriculum design/development and quality and in leading programmes through successful validation/re-validation with commendations.

Delivered successful theoretical, professional, and practice-based modules on different public services, criminology and criminal justice related programmes of study at levels 4-7.

A well-respected Validation Panel Assessor/Chair and an accredited External Examiner for a range of Criminal Law, Criminology and Security and Offender Management Programmes.

My Teacher Fellowship was awarded for my ‘pracademic’ expertise linking theory, policy and practice of crime and social justice with transformational learning in pedagogy, which is unique, innovative and public good orientated.
