Personal profile

Dr. Souad Moufty is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance and the Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Accounting. Prior to assuming the role of Programme Leader, Souad was the Deputy Programme Leader for BA (Hons) International Finance & Business.

Dr. Moufty joined 51Âþ»­ in January 2020 as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance. Before that, she held positions at the University of Huddersfield, Staffordshire University, and Middlesex University. Souad has taught a range of subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, mainly in the areas of Management Accounting and CSR & Sustainability Accounting and Reporting. Dr. Moufty has had some course management and research project responsibilities; she was the Course Leader for the MPhil and PhD programmes (Economics, Business, and Management); Top-up year tutor; represented the Business School at the Graduate School Research Committee and was the principal investigator of an Erasmus+ funded research project (€293,650).

Dr. Moufty's research interests focus on CSR; Sustainability Accounting & Reporting; Corporate Governance; Stakeholders' Theory; and Management Accounting.
