As a Senior Lecturer in Work-based Learning and Development, Rebekah is passionate about bridging the gap between Higher Education and Business. With experience in placements, internships and degree apprenticeships, she recognises the importance of providing a safe and inclusive space to explore identity, build confidence and develop skills.
Rebekah has a keen interest in inclusivity in Higher Education and, in 2022, joined the Women’s Higher Education Network (WHEN) as their Strategic Initiatives Manager to help raise the profile and presence of women across the sector. Today, she continues to champion the work of WHEN as a Programme Facilitator for the Career Accelerator programme, which aims to increase career fulfilment for women in HE.
Rebekah draws on a wealth of experience from community engagement, career development, work-based learning and active pedagogy. She has worked across the private, public, not for profit sectors and Higher Education, as well as running her own business and supporting others to do the same. Previously, Rebekah has been a Lecturer in Careers & Professional Development and a Placement Tutor, as well as managing the Executive Company Projects (internships for Global MBA students).
