Eric is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance. Prior to joining The Leicester Castle Business School, he was a Senior Lecturer in Actuarial Science and Finance in Asia Pacific University of Innovation and Technology (Malaysia), before which he was a Lecturer in Insurance, Finance and Risk Management at the University of Ghana Business School. Eric has over 13 years of combined experience in Academia and in Industry. He has consulted for several organisations including PwC(Ghana) and the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (Ghana) drawing on his Enterprise Risk Management and Pensions Management Expertise. Eric has a PhD in Actuarial Science from University of Kent, a Double Masters with Distinction in Actuarial Management and Actuarial Science from Heriot-Watt University and is a Qualified Accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK).
I am interested in research that focuses on applying cutting-edge machine learning, statistical, actuarial (including mortality and longevity modelling) techniques in finance, risk and insurance for the development of holistic risk based financial security systems. I am also interested in applying mathematical economics in formulating policies in pensions and the extent to which these issues are relevant to wider areas such as social policy.
