I'm novelist, script and short story writer. My latest book is a crime novel set in Nottingham called Dead Flowers. My previous novels include The Killing Jar, Starfishing, The Okinawa Dragon and The Troll trilogy. I've won a Betty Trask Award, The Authors' Club Best First Novel prize and the Waverton Good Read, as well as a Nottingham Creative Business Award. My short films have starred Brendan Coyle, Steven Arnold and Abigail Hamilton. I also wrote a chapter of the award winning graphic novel Dawn of the Unread
